Short answer

A block explorer is a public search page for the chain. Paste a contract or wallet to see transfers, holders and creation date.

How to check it yourself

  1. Open the explorer for the right chain and paste a contract or wallet address into the search.
  2. Read the Transfers tab for recent moves, and the Holders tab for who owns what.
  3. Open any transaction to see its status, sender, receiver and fee.
