Short answer

FDV uses the full planned supply at today's price. A big gap means future unlocks could add selling pressure.

How to check it yourself

  1. Find total or max supply and circulating supply on a tracker or the explorer.
  2. Divide circulating by total to see how much of the supply is already out.
  3. Look for an unlock or vesting schedule that says when the rest is released.
